I have been asking people IRL their favorite number and then checking the wikipedia page for the number to see what math properties it has. So far I have learned some interesting things about various numbers. The problem is I am running out of people to ask IRL so I thought I would ask here.

The
Euler-Mascheroni constant is a neat little guy.
What they (mathematicians) define as interesting depends on their particular field of study; mathematical anaylsts find pain and extreme confusion interesting, whereas geometers are interested in beauty.

They would put it on tombstones sometimes in the Roman era because XVII is an anagram of VIXI which means "I lived". Thought it was neat.

Because every number has something special and eerie about it. So really its just another number. But its not. It was even here before I made this post.

I enjoy the number 27. It seems to generally make sense.

34! It was my number in all my high school sports. I like that the two digits add up to 7.
When it comes to ages though, my favorites are 17 and 23. Not because I liked those years, I just like the way it sounds to say "I'm 17" or "I'm 23".

47. It's prime, it's the atomic number of silver, and it's pretty: the four is green and the seven is red in my synesthesia.

Though as an ocd child I would spend hours making combinations of 12 and 5. Ironically, I was born at 5:12.

7901234409876544. I was playing with a calculator when I was little and I wanted to see what happened when I filled the display with 8's, and then multiplied it by another display full of 8's. I thought the ascending 9-0-1-2-3-4 and descending 0-9-8-7-6-5-4 digit patterns were interesting.

I like 37, because everyone* likes 3, and everyone likes 7, but I've never heard anyone else say they liked 37. And in high school sports I was always able to get that jersey number.
*By 'everyone', I mean: every kid in my grade school, according to me as a grade schooler, according to my memories as an adult.
And now after reading the wikipedia page for it, I learn that I am one cool cat. Though probably every wikipedia number page makes you think that number is the coolest number.

One number I loved as a kid was 4294967296. It was the longest number when entered on my dad's calculator, which gave whole numbers (down all the way to 2) upon pressing the square root button repeatedly. I loved to know it by heart, and at one point was even a password

I could never remember that number so I had to stay with 65536, as stated before.
