Can't you make your settings so that you get to allow people to see certain photos? Pretty sure I've done this so my grandparents can't see any pictures of me after they started making comments about me always drinking...

Yeah, I don't care what people who know me see. My profile's locked down to private, but anyone on my friends list can see whatever. I know what my mum was like at my age, and by all accounts, she was worse.

That's fair enough, I just disliked the idea of my grandparents seeing what I got up to on a night out. Nothing terrible but not something you want a 70 year old to see. Plus now I'm in the working world I have people I work with on Facebook bu they can't see any of the pictures unless they're in them. Not worth the chance that any bosses or, more importantly, future bosses seeing my full profile and pics.

Screech: I am somewhat annoyed by the lovely weather we are having right now. Mainly because I'm stuck behind a desk and my window looks out onto all the people wandering outdoors and enjoying the weather.

It's probably just going to get worse in all honesty. I work in Stratford, right next to Westfield shopping centre and the Olympic Park. Come the games I'm just going to be permanently annoyed that I'm not going outside and/or seeing any part of the Olympics.

I'd be content with an open window, but apparently I'm the only one in the office who feels warm. Incidentally, everyone else is wearing long sleeves (shirts or jumpers) and I'm in a damn short sleeved polo top!

Just go outside for 10/15 minutes. If someone questions it, point out that smokers get a break so why shouldn't non-smokers? Or take a note pad and pen with you outside and look like you're thinking on a problem

NM: Spirograph. But looking on Amazon, the new ones look much crappier than the one I had as a kid. Maybe just because I can't see it in person, or maybe because it's poorly made chinese crap.

< 1 month until Avengers. Everytime I see the trailer (I go to the cinema with some regularity) I'm torn between thinking it looks awesome, and disappointing.

Thor doesn't do it, as a character, for me. I never read the comics though, so maybe I'm missing something.

I liked Thor, though I think a lot of that was mainly just the amazing scenery in Asgard, but I think Iron Man has still been my favourite by far.

But yes, hopefully the Avengers will be amazing. It's certainly been a lot of build-up getting to it. I really like how they had something small at the end of each movie running up to this.

I think part of the problem I have with Thor is that, within the Marvel movies there has been 3 types of character:

Those whose powers are not powers, but technology and therefore could technically happen - IronMan, someone could technically spend a lot of money and do something similar.
Those who get their powers from some sort of mutation or interference from an outside substance - X-men, Fantastic 4, Hulk, Captain America, whilst unlikely (and practically impossible) it is feasible that it could happen.
And then there's those who have powers because they're gods, or magic - Thor, Loki etc. IMO, there are no gods and suchlike.

I think that's why I don't like Thor. Because all of his power stems from "he's a god and he has a magic hammer".

It's a weird thought process, I guess.

I just see it as them being from a parallel universe or world, and the inhabitants have powers, like everyone being an Xman. They just happen to be more arrogant about it.

Personally, I like the whole mythology and magic thing, but I understand that some people just don't.

I like magic and stuff, but I guess that for me it doesn't quite fit into that universe (probably because no-one else seems to use magic, though I guess we can kind of count the x-men as doing so), so I just see them as aliens.

I thought Thor was described as 'the men of those worlds saw us as gods', but again, could be my memory playing trickses on me.

It's weird the ways our minds work though.

Yeah, you're not wrong. I loved the Fallout games, but can't even imagine playing SkyRim, because it has magic in it.

Just doesn't interest me. Battling post-apocalyptic mutant animals? Fine. Firing fire from my hands? Nope.

How do you take photos with your webcam on windows? Do you have to download any specific programs? Googling it got me a website to do it with, and also suggested windows movie maker, but I couldn't get that to work with the webcam.

I'd like to know for both XP and Vista.
