I need to find a mathematician currently living in Australia to co-supervise a Masters degree. The supervisor is a philosopher rather than a mathematician.
The masters topic is "A survey of infinite numbers and the convergence of divergent sequences", and the main supervisor and student live in Melbourne.
The mathematician needs to have some knowledge of at least one of the following topics (not necessarily more than one):
a) The du Bois-Reymond infinitary calculus
b) Conway's surreal numbers
c) Robinson's non-standard analysis
d) Hahn series
e) The book Hardy(1949) "Divergent series"
f) Generalized Borel summation
g) non-Archimedean fields
or failing that
h) The Veronese non-Archimedean continuum / Hilbert non-Archimedean continuum
An interest in topic of either infinite or infinitesimal numbers would be an advantage.
How could I go about finding such a mathematician?
