I figured this would be a good place for people to meet to discuss PBEM games.

I, myself, need people for the following:

1.) I require one person (maybe two, if you both rock), for a super-powered RPG game on my friends forum (which is utterly identical in appearance to this one). We have three characters so far.... a girl who can turn into salt, a huge bone-covered bruiser, and a gun-toting hero with an imaginary superheroine sidekick. We could use another flyer, or a mystic, or what have you!

2.) This game was so off-the-wall in idea, I HAD to join... for reasons as-yet-unknown, but speculated at, beings from hundreds of parallel dimensions, hundreds of parallel Earths, are being pulled into this quaint mid-western American town. Now, these are not your normal people from parallel Earths... player-characters are to be someone from television, or movies, or even print comics. Thats right: you wanna play someone from TV or movies? This is your chance! My game had Dr Who, Ellen Ripley, red-kryptonite Clark Kent, Hellboy, James Bond, Dirty Harry, and about a dozen others. I myself played Samurai Jack. Mostly it was free-form, with the GM handling distractions, combat, splitting the groups up, and, of course, meetings with the enigmatic Mayor of Somewhere, the man behind the mystery. It was SWEET (however, it REALLY requires a degree of writing skill... one-paragraph posts will not be tolerated.) Now the best part is I can totally RP in this, and be the GM, since 99% of the plot is character-generated... I just post about how the major plot elements react to the PCs and, of course, how my character reacts to all the others. If I were to start this sort of game, and you could be almost anyone from mass media, would you?

Can you have "a" phoenix down? How about a tuft of phoenix down or pinch of phoenix down, or just a phoenix feather.

Either. And a duct tape engineer makes things from duct tape. He combines his degrees with the magic of MacGyver to create build anything he needs, from brownies to nuclear warheads.

Not quite a super-power in the CONVENTIONAL sense, and as he isn't a real character, he can't be in the second game

Get back to me with what sort of character you would like to use for either game, and I'll have a look!

I'll come up with something, give me a couple of hours.

Edit: I'll use my superpower from the other thread for #1: the ability to cause objects to vibrate by touching them or by thinking about the object to vibrate within a small area. The ability to calm everyone down with low frequencies, or to cause items to explode (remember your old CD drives that spun at high speeds? If you had your CD shatter inside?) Yes, it's not a usual superpower, but it could be used to create steps out of thin air or such. Explain it away like telekinesis or some such thing.

#2: Still not sure. Either Gambit, or Wong Fei Hung (they portray him in lots of Kung Fu Films) or someone else.

I could only keep up with one game though, so...

Or the Pretender, from that old show. All he does is blend in and do whatever job perfectly, but it's amazing how he could blend in as a citizen of said town and gather information, or something like that.

For #1 I'd be an 18 year-old typical teenage guy character (You know, the type who inexplicably gets surrounded by beautiful women for some inane reason in harem Anime)
And he would have the ower to talk to everything, not that it would usually talk back, (This is a sort of Panpsychism thing I've had going on in a lot of stuff that I think about... I'm not crazy...)

#2 Aquaman, but he'd be PO'ed because everyone talks about Superman and not him...
Maybe Sub-mariner now that i think about it...
