Time to necrothread...

Is it wrong for me to want to edit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RuBisCO to put a "References in popular culture" section, linking it to the xkcd?

I believe there's a specific Wikipedia policy that tells you to not add xkcd references to "popular culture" sections.

Indeed there is, although it's a bit more nuanced than a simple blanket prohibition.
