Oh, my.

I now have the image of my poor, impressionable, Twilight-loving friend doing this. She would log in, look around, and then scream so loudly that people in Alaska would be able to hear. I also have the mental image of trying to tell her that it really wasn't as bad as she thought it was to get her to calm down. Then come the images of the years of therapy she'll probably take... //_x

If enough Twilight fans are like her, the /b/tards stand a very good chance of winning.

What is with the little scribbled out part in panel one? A human error? Are you telling me XKCD isn't dispensed by some flawless, immortal superconsciousness? Oh, all my naive dreams shattered! This is the end! Why, God, why?

Also, that message layout doesn't really resemble the style of 4chan. The disappointments just keep coming.

Haha, that was pretty awesome.

And is it just me, or does that guy have some bad acne? He should ask that Edward guy how to make his skin all clean and...sparkly.

Good thing 4chan had died 8 months ago.

All they gonna find on 4chan now are newfags and camfags - good luck talking to your own kind.

I believe the term for this is "pissing into an ocean of piss," sometimes "trolling in an ocean of trolls."

No matter how much you piss into an ocean of piss, it will remain what it was.

And, from /co/,
>Whenever randall can't think of anything pretentious or technological to say, he just mentions 4chan or some tired internet meme.

Didn't someone get stabbed or shot over a Twilight dispute? I remember reading something terrifying of that sort. Fangirls, I wouldn't test them.

Longtime lurker, first time poster. There should be a tag or a template for that.

And I'm breaking the silence merely to prop Randall for the Pogo reference, as was pointed out by another user. Way to go. Seriously. You made my weekend that much better.

Hilarious comic.

Also much enjoying the subtle (or not) attempts at oneupmanship by 4chan users.

I found this funny at several levels, but what really hit home was the concept that whereever people hang out, hangarounds will show up because they think it is cool. Even 4chan.

It also confirms the rule that if I've heard aout it, it is getting old.

Hahaha...the concept of hipsterdom. Though hipsters today have postmodernized it to fuck-all oblivion in a slightly desperate attempt to maintain insularity.

Then again, lulz is the cancer that is killing /b/....

As per this cataclysmic scenario, if it unfolds the way it is told, it will only result in the Farkers or the Goons swarming in and turning it into a bloodbath, cleaning up the remnants afterward. Then they'll proceed to assassinate Randall Munroe, unwittingly as part of his Xanatos Gambit. I swear, that fucker is cackling somewhere.

@everyone bragging about their /b/ prowess: you are the cancer that is killing /b/

@everyone complaining that 4chan sucks: 4chan has always sucked, currently sucks, and always will suck. There is no cancer.

@xkcd: we get it, you visited 4chan that one time. Trolling doesn't come close to working like this. Ebaums did it.

This would only be cool if 4chan hadn't lost it's lust to mainstream initiation long ago. Even if they don't understand it, even soccer moms have a vague notion of what "anonymous" is by now thanks to various paranoia inducing news outlets.

i admit that this comic is fantastic, but it greatly implies that 4chan = /b/ when it is not.

there are actually some boards there that are quite cool and informed. (well, that's for me but you could take me as an average internet guy)

edit: i lold at what moot did with /b/. awesome xkcd + /b/ combo!
