The final chapter in the latest great "River Tam beats up everyone" epic. And she beat up someone else, so that makes it multiple 'people', hence I am truly satisfied.

Okay, first, THIS SERIES WAS AWESOME! You people who dislike it...why are you even reading xkcd if you haven't seen or don't like Firefly or Serenity? (No, don't answer that, but seriously, Firefly is awesome.) I even showed this to my mom, who has seen most of Firefly and Serenity, and she loved it.

And comment, I certainly hope most people already realized this but some comments indicate otherwise: the fanboy there is RANDALL. Duh.

Also...am I the only one who saw the first comic in the series and had the immediate thought that Randall is attempting to invoke the "life imitates xkcd" rule to his benefit?

Perhaps you were thinking of the time when River does some dancing in a red twirly outfit. The setting I recall there was rather folksy dancing in a clearing outside a small town on dirt or an open air platform with a few live musicians and a bunch of regular folk dancing around a big circle. She always did like to dance.

Merely referencing something does not make a comic good. I love Serenity and Firefly. There's some good strips with references, including 311 and 561.
I also like pencils, but that doesn't mean if a strip is drawn concerning pencils that it will automatically be good.

Also, 5 strips about Mr. Fillion, and no mention of that horrible flop, Drive, or the actually pretty good, currently running Castle? There's some serious comic material there.

If I would ever touch Facebook with a ten foot pole, I would totally be joining that petition. Not even a FireFly fan, but like many others in here, when Randall tells you to do something, I obey.

For the comic itself, this was an epic end to an otherwise bland comic week. Summer Glau kicking the ass out of Nathan Fillion was pure epic, and a nice twist on the end of the race. It seems like a perfect way to end the comic in my eyes. And this still comes from a guy who is not a fan of Firefly, Serenity, Sarah Connor Chronicles or anything of the likes, haven't ever seen them, and don't intend to (because I'm just not into Sci Fi).

TL;DR; Comic 1=Epic, Comic 5=Epic, Comic 2-4=Suck.
