Title text: Neurologically speaking, the LEFT hand is actually the one at the end of the RIGHT arm.

This is why playing drums is so difficult.

Anyone else immediately think of The Incredible Crash Dummies? I think it's the orange and blue that reminded me.

(Does anyone else even remember The Incredible Crash Dummies? Times were simpler then. With all the current fuss about distracted driving, you'd think they'd be due for a revival.)

So the naughty bits are half autonomous and half controlled by the left brain? Explains why a lot of shit happens.

This seems to describe my situation exactly.

He does seem to be having great fun with it, yes. I'm just glad he's not on Rectangular vs. Polar. Or arguably worse, time domain vs. frequency domain. Last time he touched near that can of hornets something weird happened to a cat.

Thankfully, it's a lot less confusing when you understand the left half of the brain controls the right half of the brain.

I've half a mind to not pay any mind to this.

Of course only left handed people are in their right minds. And this strip suggests that (as many of us suspected) right handed people are the upper class.

The southern hemisphere of the brain controls those parts of the body that swirl the wrong way down the toilet.

In early humans the brain used to be flat, and it had a different left hemisphere entirely than the one we know today, but then that hemisphere was removed from the circles of the world, remaining accessible only to the ancient hominid subspecies once called Elves, who could, as they say, "sail the straight path" to the left brain, whereafter they become known as Vulcans instead. In our new, round brains, that modern humans have, there's an entirely new left hemisphere instead. Julian Jaynes thinks that this change may have happened as recently as 3,000 years ago, at the end of the Mediterranean bronze age, and that this change was the origin of introspection and consciousness as we know it today.

That wasn't the last time. This was later (and didn't have good results either).

Look, it's not that complicatedIt's so much worse, just follow this handy brain to body chart.

Code: Select all

left brain          right body
right brain         upper body
upper brain         western body
lower brain         clockwise brain
north brain         lower body
south brain         disembodied spirit
clockwise brain     left body
widdershins brain   shins
subconscious        ectoderm
conscious           mesoderm
superconcious       endoderm
old Brian           legacy servers
new Brian           project schedule
lizard brain        birds
simian brain        simile creation
port brain          ill advised actions
starboard brain     ill advised inaction
The thing about recursion problems is that they tend to contain other recursion problems.
