2160: "Ken Burns Theory"

Title text: Some of the KBCU ancillary works try a little too hard to tie everything together. Doris Kearns Goodwin, the sports journalist featured in "Baseball," was somehow ALSO a famous historian who wrote bestselling biographies of Lincoln AND Johnson? Unrealistic.
Lemonade? ...Aww, ok.

Well, it's not the craziest theory I've read on the internet today.

Can this KBCU be connected to the Tommy Westphall Universe?

Still makes more sense than the GoT timeline. Where's the damn winter they promised us?

That was a fun video, but you linked to a time code in it right after the actual content has finished and the end-of-video sponsorship bit is beginning. Better link would be just: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vps9UjKek0U

(For others: that video is about unintentional cinematic universes made of stand-alone movies about the same historical events).

Of course, she has been accused of significant plagiarism on multiple occasions...

If you want winter, see The Donner Party, by Ken's brother Ric.

The theory that Ken Burns documentaries take place in *different* cinematic universes would also not be the craziest theory I've read on the Internet today.

"...every Ken Burns miniseries exists within a single cohesive universe."

Well, of course.  It's called the real world — which in many cases is far stranger than any fictional world like Westeros or Narnia or Pandora or even 'a long time ago in a galaxy far far away'.

I think I'll watch that movie tonight - what should I make for dinner to eat while watching the movie?

Donner kebabs, of course.

On a more serious note, it is a very good doco, although of course it doesn't have time to cover everything known about the Donner Party.

Like what seasonings were used?

27 herbs and spices.

Just yesterday, in the middle of a discussion about astronomical grating spectroscopy, someone asked me if I could use the spectroscope to identify those herbs. Coincidence? Conspiracy?

Is that similar to Agent Smith from Matrix reappearing in LotR disguised as Elrond, respectively that all movies starring Hugo Weaving are different aspects/instances of the Matrix?
