Ah hell might as well claim, as I do not see any downfalls. I'm the Accountant, hence the crumb in my confirmation post. I'm roughly a cop, and quite sure I'm sane, either through Adam double-bluffing me or through pure randomness. Either way, wam came back as "member of the mafia", and erm, that's kind of unambiguous.

In other news: Do not doc me. Since I already claimed my role, and did not ask you to trust me onn that, I'll ask you to trust me on this one.

I'm going to believe you, if for nothing other than the foresight to put a crumb into your OP. That makes me think your claim is good and you knew you would have to claim at some point.

It's not that I trust Tim, but I don't trust wam. Plus with a D1 lynch of scum, it'd be pretty difficult to lie or bus at this point.

Vote: wam

That's L-2. I suggest we don't take it any farther as we have 5 days of discussion that shouldn't be wasted, and wam should probably get a shot at defending himself first.

JesseScottOwen wrote:Also: Is it just me, or does Snark seem to completely hate the idea of a confirmed town doctor who probably got doctored last night? If scum, he wants to get me lynched. I love the idea. But here's the thing: if there's another doctor, they presumably would protect from kills. I doubt there's two guys running around with antidote. So therefore, a doc might have saved you from being killed last night, but if there was a recruit, you'd be a prime target for it, and it's unlikely anyone could prevent it.
I could be wrong. There could be two lab techs with antidote. But given we have mafia and zombies, balance would seem to indicate one doc to protect from mafia kills and one to de-zombify people.

I'm gonna guess he's zombie-proof. Though it'd be more intelligent of him to keep that secret in hopes of wasted zombie targets. So I doubt he'll tell us for sure what his protection is.

I wasn't even considering doc'ing him. Why would he just randomly say that when it would raise questions? It's possible that he wants to be recruited and win as a zombie. Tim?

Also Snark, I'm still suspicious of you.

On D2, that's a stupid fear to have.

Also, if the mod suspected him of that, he'd get a bollocking. Playing against your faction and all that.

I believe it's considered good manners to play for your current wincondition, so that's what I was doing.. And I don't know, I figured a cop would be docced, as it is a pretty high-value target.

In other news, Snark is high on my scumlist for explicitly calling his own actions townie.

Big FOS dude.

Reason was already given:
Snark wrote:1. roband

"I agree with Timmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"
Defends lurking accusation. Says a matt vote is as good as any.
"I will be voting matt here, if nothing else comes up...A NL wouldn't be the worst thing ever here, in fact."
Scummy for proposing to vote matt if nothing else comes up and drive-by suggestion of NL (after saying that if we have zombies only, we likely have a vanilla town and recruits without NKs). This seems contradictory.

You voted for a no lynch when the prime lynch target was scum. Voting no lynch may seem like a bad idea to others, but it pretty much keeps you in the clear concerning voting records of actual people.

And concerning you having an intent to vote for me later in the game, what exactly would you like me to say?
Umm, don't vote for me bro. I made a bad decision concerning Matt based on D1 information. I stand by my vote for you late D1. Reasons above. You distanced yourself from matt's lynch and suggested a no-lynch. Totally worth a vote on D1. Possibly later days as well if we don't have such excellent cop results to go off of.

Oh yeah, my vote's totally on Snark tomorrow. You didn't answer the question, though. Why don't you want to be doctored? Because, like you said, you're a high-value target, and you'll likely be NK'ed if no one doctors you. And you being NK'ed is BAD for town. So isn't that playing against your current win condition?

I said that if we were to lynch anyone, I thought he was the best option.

My thoughts are he's allergic to the antivirus, and if you give it to him, it'll kill him. Which he wouldn't want to say because it would make a doc-turned-zombie-doc target him.

I don't like t1mm's claim...

Because I am a cop-role... But I get told if the target is diseased, rather than Mafia/not Mafia. Being a Ph.D. makes me keen to these things, or something.
I am inclined to believe Tim is lying.

I'm guessing we have 1 mafia cop, 1 zombie cop, 1 mafia doc, and 1 zombie doc. I don't see why you're voting for Tim. There's no reason why there can't be two cops in the game.

Also 4 words is probably not a problem in terms of quoting mod PM's.

Dear colleagues,

AAARGH

there.
Do you doubt my towniness?
Do you doubt my intelligence in this case?

If you doubt neither, stop talking about reasons why I do not want to be docced.

ninjad: I did not claim to have quoted anything, I claim that he came back as something easiest describable as member of the mafia, hence the quotation marks. Compare to
'There's this new thing on the internet, called "owling" or something..'

What's the other problem then? Because it's quite common to have a faction-specific cop in multiple-anti-town-faction games.
ninjad again, twice: my result PM was longer and not going to share other powers if any.

2 case split:
1: I'm town. I ask not to be docced, I'll have my reason not to want it.
2: I'm scum. I don't see why you'd want to doc me.

Short story shorter; don't.

In case 2, I actually agree. However, in case one, I do not. There is information that is of very small value to town, but great value to scum.
Take [un]'s claim.
What does town learn? Barely anything, apart from "don't kill [un]". What do zombies learn? "High priority target kill asap".
There's a similar case here. It's in towns interest for me not to get docced.

I was talking about you, Tim. Not myself.

I was trying to say that it was unlikely for you to be scum if wam was scum as you'd have to be the one bussing with a fake investigation (though with a true result) on wam AND it was unlikely for you to be scum if wam was town as you'd be up for the lynch tomorrow and a 1/1 trade most likely wouldn't be in your favor after having mafia lynched D1.

Right I should probably start this post with two warnings.

1) this is going to be my only post between now and monday (see previous post in the discussion thread)
2) I have spent all evening in the pub.

Tim, do you have any proof of your sanity?

In my mind tim must be insane because Im town but it is far more likely that he is insane if there is another mafia cop, but I am unsure about whether them claiming is a good idea though. thoughts?

I think Snark is doing his usual trick of managing to convince everyone that hes scum when hes town.

Anyway If you would like me to answer more questions please wait till monday.

Ok guys so I'm pretty sure I know who mafia are, we just need to figure out how the zombies work. As much as claiming is usually a bad idea, I'm pretty sure the loss of my role is worth catching the remaining scum.
Given the game size, do we think the most likely number of mafia is 3 (I'm confident it's AT LEAST 2 alive still)?
I'm thinking we've either got 1 zombie recruiter and 3 mafia, or 3 mafia that somehow infect and/or control zombies through some other means.

On a slightly related note:
@roband - are you opposed to claiming your job title? It would help me get my head around things, but would understand if you don't want to.

Fair enough. Much to say about other things I've said?

You claim to know who the mafia are.

Do you agree with Tim?

I really don't understand this obsession with T1mm. He made a request. The doctors can (privately) decide whether they are going to do something about it or not. As long as we suspect that he is town, however, we shouldn't be pushing for more of a claim than is absolutely necessary.

I don't think anyone should claim unless under extreme pressure (and having something really worth keeping around for the town).

The interesting thing about this whole kerfuffle about T1mm is that it has fully off from scum-hunting (in the sense that no one seems to really see T1mm as scum at the moment, and yet discussion is totally dominated by this point). I might think that the first people to start making a fuss about this were really trying to distract us, because they don't want us to notice them.

I think so. I can't figure that bit out. I suspect Tim himself is scum, and either he is part of another scum faction to wam or it's in his interest to have his buddy wam lynched for some reason (zombie creation? He did lead the charge on matt...).
I also think you're Mafia, roband. It's part of why I'm interested in your job title.

mpolo, I'd claimed that I had a lot of info, so I think I'm a pretty big target anyway. May as well share said information before I die tonight...
