Yep, this game has too much dead weight.
Modkills! Please? :D

All we do by slowing voting off the inactive players is let the mafia reduce our numbers each night. We know there are active mafia, they made a kill last night, so the less time we spend on random lynches the better.

Fine.

You asked, and you shall receive. Modkills are going to be handed out shortly. I just have to work out how it will affect game balance.

The few villagers left paying attention argued fiercely amongst themselves, but soon took their argument to the almighty above, with much shaking of fists and pleas for mercy. The wind blew in what sounded like a great heavenly sigh of exasperation, but they took no heed.

Abruptly, the clouds rolled in, and a peal of thunder echoed ominously around the clearing. The villagers had just enough time to exchange uneasy glances before, in a blinding flash, bolts of lightning ripped out of the sky and directly into four villagers at the outskirts of the circle. The villagers were horrified, but at the same time, curious. Was this the sign they'd been waiting for?

InstinctSage, CntRational, Mr. Pete, and Matthias have all been modkilled. Alignments and roles revealed in the morning.

11 players left, 6 to lynch.

Balance be damned, just stop yelling at me and play the game already.

Yeah, same here. I was too busy partyin' down to post it, though. :D Mega therefore remains on my list of people I would be willing to lynch today.

Okay! Let this tide of blood bring fresh vigor to our game! Given this new occurence, who wants to lynch Mega, and who wants to keep discussing our properly living players? Knowing the alignment of the dead might help in that, you know. Still, discussion is never bad if you actually have a quorum of players active in the game-- and hey! That's actually true now! :D *impromptu dance*

Yes. THIS. I was thinking exactly this. I went back to check the list, and confirm that Mega was the only inactive who was spared. When I came back to make a post, frogman had stolen my thunder.

I suppose it is possible that Mega responded to a modpoke when the others did not, but either way I find it suspicious.

I will give this some time, but I am quite willing to vote for Mega today (maybe Kells will come back and get rid of Mega, too; or maybe Mega will actually show up and declare her intent to again participate in the game).

M4 has killed four. Thus we now have the M4 four. M16? M16? M256?

Anyway, I think that MaJ's immediate response to dying is interesting. (And I definitely didn't read his spoiler when I thought the game was dead (I changed nothing, I' voted him before reading it anyway, I'm sorry, please don't make me the fifth))

Anyway, I'm not all that fond of a Mega-vote now that she's the only lurker left. I say we start playing the game. That is we hunt for fun in the hot hot sun, err, run for scum in the... We need to find real threats now.

I definitely Vote: Sexy Party

Also Vote: ameretrifle

While your dedication to the game is admirable the following quote stands out as very scummy to me.

Hm.

This is one of those times when you don't see something till someone tells you, and then you're not sure if you're seeing it because they told you and now you're trying to make it look like that or if it's not actually there. That probably didn't make any sense. Oh well.

To be honest, ameretrifle has been quietly pinging my scumdar for a while, but I haven't been able to quite work out why. Unfortunately, I still feel quite lost in this game, I'm sure about nothing. I need to give the game a good read, but that won't happen tonight. Damned studies!

At the moment I'd prefer to hold off on lynching Mega. It's possible she responded, or that Kells made a mistake. Either way, it's very interesting that she wasn't lynched, but I don't think that rushing into a lynch will achieve anything besides sating my curiosity.

Unlynchable. That's a funny claim, because it paints a target on your back for scum. Now, seeing as ameretrifle isn't totally deadified, and that I sincerely doubt that she is really unlynchable...

Yes... exactly. I was hoping so, anyway. You clever people are all right; I'm not unlynchable, I just can't be NKed. And when someone tries? I'm told about it. Which would've been awesome if anyone ever would've come after me. But nooo. Now, even if I do escape lynch, no scum with half a brain's gonna try and kill me, which makes me finally and irrevocably vanilla (like I wasn't before, really). I've probably been trying too hard to seem like a good target.

So, whatever. Lynch me if you like; you won't feel so clever in the morning, though. Fortunately, your self-esteem is not my problem.

Actually, I was doing my best not to guilt trip you. Not sure how well I succeeded, though. :D 'S a hell of a temptation, after all.

Anyway, all of those things are true, and if you don't believe me, you'll learn it soon enough. No point getting worked up over it. That'd just "make me seem more scummy" and hasten my demise. Besides, I've gotten used to Az thinking I'm scum. This'll make I think the third time he's thought so, and the third time he'll be wrong. (The first time was in my first game, Mega's Vanilla, in fact... which is where the Sexy Party vote started...)

Things I think we ought to keep in mind:
-Gojoe is a WAY bigger liar than I am or ever will be (despite my best efforts).
-You and Az could still be pulling a double-blind on us. It was masterfully done, if you are scum together. I don't think it's probable, but it is possible.

To be fair, Gojoe's penchant for lying is well-known. He's made the argument that his lies help the town enough for me to consider it as a very likely possibility that he's town-aligned.

I was going to try falseclaiming Inigo, but OOTD died before I could get up the nerve (and work out an excuse for claiming out of nowhere). Would've been a pretty good plot-- since we were masons (well, if you can call it that, given he was independent), I would've known he wouldn't counterclaim (well... it was OOTD...), I would've known everyone he'd killed, and anyone looking for him would've gotten me, whereupon I could tell him who that was and he could wreak bloody vengeance. When that option disappeared Day 3, I decided to go on and claim. I figured the only way my role was any more useful than vanilla at that point was if I could get someone to kill me, and the only way I could think to do that was try and be really, really helpful, and claim unlynchable so they wouldn't dare keep me alive to endgame. I wasn't really optomistic about the potential success of that plan, but I figured I had to give it a shot anyway. Besides, unlynchable really makes more sense for Fezzik than un-NK-able (not that I'm complaining). He's used to fighting off mobs; it's been a while since he fought someone one-on-one. So I figured it'd be credible enough.

Hey, I think that puts Sexy Party over the edge, if it's reckoned the same way as a lynch...

Maybe I overreacted, I don't know, but with so many people voicing suspicion of me, I did believe I was going to get lynched. In fact, I didn't really think that move would save me at all. I guess I'm a pessimist that way, or maybe hysteric. And, even if I somehow didn't get lynched, I figured that with so many people distrustful of me, no scum with half a brain would kill me off. Though, given that they killed Vieto, maybe they really haven't been paying any attention at all-- in which case, all might not be lost! :D

...jeez, maybe I shoulda kept my mouth shut X_X

Exams are coming up soon, things are going to slow down even more, let's keep talking. Where'd Ati go? He's not absent totally, I just saw him posting in the House thread... I really have to go back and look at him. I've gotten the impression that he hasn't been posting much content, and I really need to figure out whether that's actually true or not.

Really quick analysis: oh, yeah, he's the one who had that whole "slip of the tongue" thing D1. I didn't think that was anything then, and I still don't, but after that... Not much content. Here, let me put up the link so I can find it tomorrow when I have more time to think, and you guys can give your own opinion, if you like. That'd be helpful. And it ain't exactly a lot to read. :D

...Damn, I can't even remember what happened to half the players in this game...

Lurking, lack of content, suspicious content when he has posted. Hopped on the MaJ bandwagon, has said "I'm not scum" a little bit too often, hasn't shown up at all today despite being elsewhere on the fora making a bit of an ass of himself.

Arguments against? Arguments for? Ati, you got a defense? At this point, you could vote me and I'd bloody well hammer myself just to get some sembelance of momentum going. Come on! After surviving all this, we can't go down now!
