I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. Before I voted I considered my options and I figured it was between you, Madge and someone else. I didn't pick up any strong enough scum tells on anyone else to make a case for their lynch so I figured I had to choose between you and Madge. Possible someone elses were mostly somitomi and suzaku.

Well of course I wouldn't, not when you are in the game... :P
Would you admit it if Sabrar were not in the game?

On a more serious note, that would probably depend on my win condition and what town would do if I revealed something about it. There might be an opportunity for fake-claiming some other indie role, but given my little experience I'd be hesitant to try such a gambit.
wam wrote:@ Somi I think you said 4 games prior to this have you been scum in any of them?

No, I was town 3 times and survivor once (as mentioned by Sabrar).
bessie wrote:somitomi, the votals are rather close. Are you going to vote?

I want to, but I'm still torn about it. If I had to choose from the two wagons I'd rather vote Madge, but that would result in a tie and no lynch. I don't want to risk that this close to the deadline, but I'll try to stick around to tie-break.
Liri wrote:Moody, Sabrar, Suzaku (a stretch, not much to go on), or Somitomi (also not much to go on) I would feel more comfortable voting for.

Given the choice, I might vote Sabrar too, because it seems to me his entire game consists of tunneling on wam and defending madge with a few short remarks abotu others strewn in.

I agree with wam, that Madge's surprise seems genuine, and it is tempting to switch away from her because of it, especially if there is an alternative I could get behind. However, I haven't had the chance to rereview anyone else, and I'm no more confident about wam being scum even with the above point. As wam points out, it could be the case that scum!Madge and her teammate didn't think about it (in which case I doubt Sabrar is her buddy, because if anybody was going to ask it would be him).

@somitomi - I will be around at deadline, and whilst I'd prefer a Madge lynch, I'd be prepared to unvote and have wam lynched if nobody breaks the deadlock.

I could almost get behind lynching Sabrar, but that's mostly because he's being obstinate in his reads and unhelpful in general, so it's probably not the right thing to do. He could be indie, but I'd prefer to lynch scum and I doubt he's that.

@Liri, Suzaku, it's up to you two to decide. Know that I will frown upon you if you refuse to vote at this point (unless the other has already voted, in which case it's okay not to vote to prevent hammer/stalemate, though I expect you to explain which).

I'm not liking the lack of content from suzaku. He's basically had one big post (split in to two) in the three days he's been in the game.

From what I remember, Suzaku is in an Australian/Asian time zone, so I expect an evening post from him in the next couple of hours. Not certain about Liri, but a quick skim of his posts suggests eastern US time (latest post is around 5am UTC, earliest post is around 12.30pm UTC), so I expect he should be around before deadline as well.

Yeah, whoa, I've been asleep. Eastern US is correct.

Madge's surprise does seem genuine, but, hey, scum could be surprised too if it wasn't in their role PM.

You want me on the record, so, fine:

Why? What's the difference? Why couldn't scum!Madge fake it as well?

As explained in my re-review of Madge, I'm saying that most of Madge's content, whilst potentially genuine, isn't specifically town-Madge, and that there are one or two scum indications (e.g. reason for lynching moody). For me, the apparent genuineness in her response comes from the overall tone, and in particular the follow-up question.

I'm here. I'm tired, but I'm here.

Madge wrote:Suzaku won't be on before deadline unless he stays up late, it's already 10pm in Japan

I'm most active online between about 21:00 and 01:00 JST (UTC+9), and I'm usually on my phone from 8:00~21:00.

Also just realised I have to subscribe to topic not just participate to get email notifications - now done.

I'm also (and I did warn the mods of this before replacing in) unbe-fracking-lievably busy at work because of year-end. Things should settle down a bit next week, but I don't have the luxury to make short read/checks at work right now.

Anyway, replies/responses/ruminations:
Sabrar wrote:BTW we have evidence that Suzaku is scum, just need to compare the following two snippets (first is from Shakespeare III):
LaserGuy wrote:Let's start with the most important questions first: Who are you and what have you done with bessie? Is there a ransom that needs to be paid? Does her family know? Her dog?

Suzaku wrote:What have you been smoking and where can I get some?

I asked a question that's vaguely similar to a question asked by someone else (whose alignment I don't know - I assume scum), in a game I wasn't in (and haven't read)? And that counts as evidence now? Yeah, sure, whatever.

plytho wrote:What responses are you waiting for? You only asked one question.

Responses don't have to be to questions. People are free to respond to my statements as well. I'm not a fan of meta arguments (and as a result I'm not liking how much discussion of meta has gone on this game), but I don't usually post a lot of questions. I tend more to post my thoughts and float possibilities and let people run with (or at) them if they choose.

Sabrar wrote:@Suzaku: what is your opinion on the other players?

I get a townie feeling from Jimbob, I'm slightly concerned about plytho, and everyone else is still in the amorphous 'don't know yet' blob.

wam wrote:@suzaku is your madge town read purely based on meta?

To be honest I don't really have a strong town read on Madge, it's more that I don't have a scum read at all. Which is, I have to admit, based on meta. At this point I think that you've given me more reasons to believe you're scum than she has, so I'd prefer to lynch you than her - I'm not nailing my colours to the mast that she's town (like Sabrar has).

Need a break; back in 10~15 mo.

On the understanding that people will un/re vote, and given I'd strongly prefer a wam lynch to a Madge lynch

Vote: wam

And that will surely be it from me until deadline, as I have to get to work super early tomorrow, so I need my sleep.

Unvote

As promised. I'd still prefer a Madge lynch, but I won't oppose a wam lynch, what with him being the current top lynch candidate by half the players, and he was second highest on my scum list earlier this week.
