I was wondering if anyone else around here is in a professional program, ie. a program that directly leads to a specific job (doctor, lawyer, etc.). I'm a year through a three-year school psychology Master's/Educational Specialist degree, which leads directly to becoming a certified school psychologist, and I'm having some doubts about whether this is the ~ABSOLUTE BEST CAREER~ for me. I hate that my program leads to only one very specific field. But I want to work in education, and almost every job within education does require specialization. Basically, I guess I was just hoping to commiserate with some other people who have had to choose their field before they actually experience it, and who would have to go back to school to pursue a different degree if they ever wanted to have even a slightly different job.

I'm considering it, and I don't have much to say yet since at the time being I have no way of knowing if I'll even be admitted to the course. Frankly I'm quite worried about making a hasty decision, but if I want to pass the admission exam I should start studying as soon as possible (which makes me even more nervous). I guess you should ask yourself, if you think there's a better job for you, which job that might be. As for me, I have no idea and am frantically and aimlessly googling backup courses in case I don't even get in.
