In a one on one battle, in terrain non-particularly advantageous to any one tank, which modern main battle tank do you think would win? M1A1 Abrams? Chinese Type 99? Some other tank?
I reckon the Type 99 would win, considering they seem to at least match the Abrams in armour and exceed it weaponry.
This doesn't seem to have a whole lot to do with computers... moving it out of Religious Wars - phlip

I may be mistaken, but my impression (not sure what it's based on) is that weaponry outpaces armor enough that whoever gets the first successful hit is likely to win. Skimming wikipedia it looks like I may have underestimated tank armor though.
