So I was just rickrolled (is that the term?) for the first time by Upsilon's signature. Actually I just recently in fact figured out what rickrolling is.

I found someone else at my work that reads xkcd. I didn't even have to bring it up. He brought it up on his own.

One time at work I was in the cubible next to mine showing the lady who works there something, and I noticed she had the 'compiling' comic on the wall... Yes, I was wearing the shirt of said comic at the time.

If you have three eyes, do you trink? In that case, where did the word trinket come from?

This is an important question.

how does the word 'blink' possibly appear to contain the prefix bi... the letters do not appear together in that word.

It's meant to be inaccurate. It's the story as told by Dilios, who was at the battle but heavily embellishes the story to make it better.

I think System of a Down did it well, with a song titled "This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song". It was one of their crazy, schizophrenic nonsense songs.

The 300? Awesome film. I went into it expecting lots of blood, awesome fight scenes and badass one-liners. That's exactly what I got. I didn't really expect them to get many details of the Battle of Thermopylae right, it's just a film.

I think trinket is not tri-nket but rather trin-ket in it's prefixes and such. Unless they were originally things that were sold in groups of three since they were small, cheap, and easily breakable.

What the hell? On the front of my box of throat lozenges, in huge script, "Double antibacterial action" (bolded and italicised on the box), yet, on the reverse side, "The efficacy of an antibacterial agent in lozenges in reducing the severity or duration of throat infections has not been clinically established."

I think it means it has two types of anti-bacterial in it. thus 'double antibacterial action' not 'double the antibacterial action' ;)

... I got that. What I'm confused by is the point of advertising the antibacterial agents, then stating that it hasn't been proven that they have any effect.

My little brother has terrible teeth. Terrible, teeth. So terrible, that when he etas candy, he goes crying because it hurts him. Yet he keeps on eating it every day. And my dad is like: "You know it's gonnah hurt realy bad when you eat that right? And we'll have to brush your teeth very good, okay?" (As if a 4 year old would understand...) Then my brother nods and starts eating. Then his teeth got to be brushed, and he starts crying as if he's being fucking cut. And I fucking hate my dada for doing that. His mum is even worse, she just doesn't talk into him at all, doesn't object to him eating candy or chocolate, but when she's got to brush his teeth she goes all like "Oh no, I'm way too tired, I think I'm gonnah lie down now. I can't deal with this right now." She never can... It's making me fucking [sic] you know... goddamit.
Oh right...

I wondered today if there's any real difference between a good intent and an evil intent if a person's actions are the same, and if it matters.

... A little more context would be appreciated, but my first reaction is Yes. ... [Ninja'd, but leaving it.]

Ex: Kid is sitting in class, teacher goes nuclear on him.

Good intent:
Kid is being an ignoramus.
Teacher is trying to correct him.

Bad intent:
Teacher is having a bad day.
Teacher says kid is being an ignoramus.

Actions:
Teacher: AKLJGLEKRJLEKRJNG
Kid: -gets either pissy or breaks down, depending on character-
