Up early writing a speech, due to xkcd shenanigans occupying my time last night. Head is heavy, eyes drooping and it's going to be a terribly hard day at work today as a result.

It was worth it.

Speaking of sex, I cybered with a girl on Omegle the other day and I got her msn. Turns out she's pretty gross. I'd be more detailed but then I'd offend people. (discard? post? discard? post? discard? post? post.)

Foxworthy also said it. Maybe after Carlin, but then Foxworthy didn't provide appropriate citation either.

My turn: I think I figured out where the name XKCD came from. A joke(?) programming language called "Deadfish".

For the XKCD variation, use

Code: Select all

Commands: x for increment, d for decrement, k for square, c for output.

So it's Increment, square, output, decrement.

Anyone out there that thinks this makes sense at all?

Uh, no. AFAICT, Deadfish was created at the end of 2006... and the xkcd variant added only last month.

Unless you're saying the strip is named after a variant of a language that didn't exist when then strip was created? I think it's more likely that the variant of the language was based on the name of the strip, not vice-versa...

Code: Select all

enum ಠ_ಠ {°□°╰=1, °Д°╰, ಠ益ಠ╰};
void ┻━┻︵╰(ಠ_ಠ ⚠) {exit((int)⚠);}

Not really fleeting or random, but something I've been thinking about off and on for a while. I'm wondering if I should change the name I make music under. Logistically it wouldn't be a big deal at all, only a few people have "loved" any of my pieces on lastfm, and besides I think the new "correct this name" system might make that issue moot anyways. I'm mostly trying to think of a better name, and wondering if maybe I should toss the whole pseudonym idea and start using my real name.

Was this like one of those moments where you think someone is waving at you but they're actually waving at the person behind you? Neat! I've never been the person behind the person!

anyway,
http://www.last.fm/music/som%5Be%5D

I don't know your stance on music (maybe I should read your interview), so I'll just say a lot of it is kind of experimental. My friend said it reminded him of Radiohead's weirder stuff, which I took as a compliment.

som[e] is an abbreviation of son of man [everyone]. the everyone bit is a clarification that by son of man I mean the human specie, not Jesus Christ.

FT that will likely be ignored: I should go to sleep.

You can read my interview if you want, but you should definitely ask questions! Schumi_girl is doing one now, but you can always ask questions in the old threads as well. It's fun.
