Hi everyone! I've been away for about half a year but now I'm back. I hope to catch up with everything I missed in the meanwhile in the next couple of weeks/months.
I had a good laugh reading
this post and the next few after it.
Welcome to all the new members!
Monika, I wish you much rest.
While I'm posting here anyway, I might as well reintroduce myself. The other time I did that is at least five years ago.
So I'm Julian, from the Netherlands, and I'll be turning 30 soonish. I graduated in artificial intelligence, after a complicated study career that also involved partial bachelors in biology, linguistics, computer science, a little bit of mathematics and a little bit of philosophy. I took three years to complete my masters thesis, but it ended up being fairly good.
Nowadays I work as a scientific programmer at Utrecht University. I work part time so I can be serieus about doing things I feel like doing during the remaining office hours. I live together with my girlfriend. We take yoga classes together and we plan to have cats.
I used to be most active in the Coding, General and Forum Games forums, probably in that order. I started the red spider project, which you find linked below (it is very much dormant nowadays), and I once hosted a European xkcd meeting. I look forward to getting social with you folks again.
