Neighbors are always loud. If they aren't, YOU are the loud neighbor.

To be fair, the noise was in part because I didn't realise I had my window open. But still, they're loud all the time.

This post was sent from the future to prevent an alternate timeline in which the world was invaded by giant insects from another solar system.

It depends on whether you mean better from the point of view of the humans or the giant insects.

I assume the Insects found something better to do than invade us, so it's defacto-better for them.

But, us? What if we're invaded by something worse than giant insects? Actually, being invaded by normal sized insects sounds worse, I imagine my house full of them and it's a terrible vision, with giant insects, I at least think they're so big they wouldn't fit inside my house door.

Right, they stomp your house instead.

Edit from the future: I just need to store a few puppies here.

What if they're huge but still small enough to fit through a door?

No, no, "invaded by giant insects" should mean that, as long as I do whatever they ask me to, like their slave, they will not stomp my house. If it's "humanity is wiped by giant insects" then, that's not actually better or worse than "humanity is wiped by small insects", the insects and humans have to somehow coexist, and I'd rather coexist with giant ones.

As for human sized insects, they are still better than the small ones, due to the low number that could be on my house at any time. Say, I'd have to deal with 20-50 insects or something, not with millions.

So, as it turns out, a big part of what disgusts me about insects is their size...

They might stomp your house then move you to their human containment area. Or kill the 80% of humans including you.

As I said, I have to assume I'm from the 20% of people that wasn't killed before choosing my future, because, the way or reason one dies would turn out to be irrelevant.

But, yeah, probably have to choose the future that makes it less likely that I die, unless living in that universe is worse than death.

Is "being invaded by benign insects" an option? You know, if they bring with them the cure of cancer and fix our abundance problems, I don't think their invasion, or that they're insects, would be that bad.

Who was it that said you can't like zombies because then it wouldn't be a zombie apocalypse but a zombie festival?
