Re: XBox Tech Support and RROD Support Group

First, you need an xbox memory card. Just a quick correction: A recent update has allowed the use of any USB flash drives of 1-16 GB size (but not more or less), so any old thing you have lying around will work except that I'm pretty sure it becomes XBox format and can't be used elsewhere. It accep...

Re: XBox Tech Support and RROD Support Group

F irst, Can someone explain to me in simple terms what the procedure to transport saved games is on an Xbox 360, assuming there is one? What is the function of a profile on the 360? Do I need to save a profile as well as a save game file? I see USB ports on the front of the 360, should I be using t...

True, I only did it for completeness-sake, but even armed with a walkthrough, I still couldn't find 2 flags and 1 templar.

I have since renounced all collectable achievements that do not give some in-game advantage.

I agree with New User about the secret achievements. In Bioshock 2, one of the secret achievements is to hit Andrew Ryan with a golf club Now how am I supposed to know that doing that would give me an achievement? It's not something a person would normally do, unless they were mucking around a bit,...

The best way to describe it would be "if you have to change the way you would typically play through a game in order to do an achievement" it shouldn't be there. I disagree. Personally I think the achievements that can change the way you normally play the game can be the most interesting ...

Why does this bother you so much? Almost every game requires you to jump through some hoops to get content, even if its just as simple as needing to complete level 1 to play level 2. I love unlockable content like this, I think it adds replay value, as long as it is done well. Because.. It's a figh...

You cannot smooth soil. This includes sand, loam and peat. Made my communal bedroom look ugly, because half the walls are smoothed stone and the rest is sand. Meh, I'm building my real fortress near the magma anyway! :)

The way I look at achievements is as a challenge. Do I want to see if I can beat the game on the hardest difficulty, without all the powerfull weapons and little gimmicks that make it easy? If it's a fun game, I will! That said, alot of achievements are totally stupid. Get 10,000 online kills in ran...

Wow, that is shocking. Down here in Australia, school starts generally between 8 and 9. Most start around 9, but some schools elect to start early. Hey guys, this thread got me into Dwarf Fortress, it's awesome!

Is there any way for me to get my dwarves to take stone from the stockpile next to them, instead of wandering halfway across the map for it? The stone isn't forbidden or anything, but they still ignore it for the most part.

Bobs mother is 42 years old, and her name is Bob as well.

Bob is 3 times Bobs age.

Bob is 42 and Bob is 126.

Screen peeking, or screen cheating around here. I tended to do it alot, until everyone else figured out I was using it to kick everyone's ass. Then I tried to stop, but it can be quite difficult sometimes. Nowadays I rarely play split screen competitively, so It doesn't matter if I screen cheat.

The only way I can see to optimise it is by having the first person to see the bird call 2 people, lets call them A and Z. Then they both call B and Y, then they call C and X and so on. This way, assuming at least half of them make the call, everyone gets to see. Of course, it does all hinge on the ...

Using highest number with only 1 factor is effective but not optimal. I have been pondering this puzzle for the last few days, and I believe I have come up with, while may be not the optimal, it gets very close to it. I think the key is to reduce the amount of numbers the taxman gets in the end. To do this, you follow this simple rule: 1) Always take the highest n...
