Arduino-Controlled Car

My question is specific, but I left the title more open-ended because I'm sure I'll have more. I want to be able to spin a DC motor forwards and backwards, but I can't quite figure out how to do it. I was going to attach two wires to either lead, sending power through one or the other using a relay,...

The part of this article that everyone should be talking about is that transportation would be cheaper if we ran our cars on jet fuel.

Re: Belgian activists destroy GM potatos

The GM food conspiracy is the first and only one I encountered in the wild before hearing of it through secondary sources, and as such it holds a special place in my heart. I went to an SAT writing workshop and the guy teaching it used GM food and the supposed dangers thereof as the topics for all t...

Re: Rape legal in NYC if the victim is sufficiently drunk...

Alcohol lowers inhibitions, it does not turn you into a totally different person. I dunno about this. I've never gotten drunk, but inhibitions are a pretty big part of who I am. They're the reason I'm not a total douche all the time. Losing them would be a big enough change that I would consider my...

As many people have said before, that's about the same as being told in driver's ed that the only way to be 100% sure of never getting in an accident is to never get in car.

Re: Have You Changed Your Religion?

I suppose that could do it, but IIRC there were 63% no god responses in his and this one was 91%. There hadn't been nearly as many votes on this one, but a 30% difference is huge. I suppose with a sample size this small it's definitely possible, though.

Re: Have You Changed Your Religion?

I've gone and edited the poll again for "edited", which I split into two options for the direction of editing.

From the results that were up before, almost every vote was "lost" or "none", which seems to contradict the religion poll. Does anyone know why that might be?

Czhorat, sorry the claims seem vague. If you can give an example of something measurable, specific, with a result that would indicate that you exist and another possible result which could indicate you do not exist, then I can provide the same for a god. As, every argument given, can thus so far, b...

I'm not sure that those books are the best ones to compare for self-contradictions. They're quite obviously metaphorical, as the claims in each are radically different (God told David to do the census; Satan told David to do the census) and I find it unlikely that the compilers of the Bible were big...

How to Obscure an Apptab

There's a site that I'd like to make an apptab, but the symbol is the lovely scarlet A and, while it's nice to look at, it would be best at the current time that no one looking over my shoulder see that. Is there any way to remove or change it?
