Sometimes I wish dress shoes didn't kill my feet. The most perfect pair of shoes (okay, boots) that I've ever found are these. I do have to keep a pair of tennis shoes in my band locker during marching band season, though.

I had gathered the impression that the social stigma against women in CS is a relatively recent development. My mom was a software engineer in the mid-eighties, and she told me the stigma didn't seem to exist then.

Technically, I'm a high school senior, but I'm graduating a year early and I've been taking college German and computer science classes since my freshman year. My GPA for those classes is about 3.88. There was that one B+ in German I, but other than that, it's been straight A's.

I have no experience with dating, so I can't give relationship advice. That being said, I don't think the gap between high school and college is necessarily significant. I've been taking college classes since I was fourteen, and my classmates always just assume I'm in college.
