Re: Former Teen Cheerleader Dinged $27,750 for Sharing 37 So

Can someone explain why when people do get sued for downloading songs illegally, they charge insane amounts of money? The article says that the price comes out to roughly $750/song. Seeing as most songs are like .99 on iTunes, why don't they charge say...maybe $5/song? Is it to "make an example...

Re: Awesome Teacher Quotes

In an astronomy lecture today our lecturer was showing us an animation involving the sun moving across the sky. Its not exactly the most riveting of animations. Not exactly up there with Avatar; although the plot might be better. Haha, that's awesome. In my Dynamics/Kinematics class we were doing s...

From what I heard, the kid wasn't just screaming random things into the mic, his dad was telling him what to say. Granted, it's not professional and whatnot, but I wouldn't think it would be cause for a firing. And even if that's the case, how the hell did the media pick up on it? Shouldn't that hav...

Re: Yes, it really was an asteroid that killed the dinosaurs

I've only ever heard of one other explanation for the extinction of the dinosaurs, and that was an era of strong volcanic activity. How would that kill off so much of the current form of life? Changing the atmospheric composition and having less oxygen? Wasn't the asteroid theory the most commonly a...

I never really understood the complaints so many people say about IE. I run IE8 just out of habit, but when I switch to something like Firefox, I don't see any noticable difference that convinces me it's significantly superior. IE8 runs the things I want to run without issue for the most part, so wh...

This isn't a commercial in the traditional sense, but I really hate the CNN ads for their upcoming pieces. They always involve some tragedy or something new wrong with something. Or they're completely insignificant but may get someone to watch. I dislike the news in general.

I'm somewhat of an agnostic just because I don't like religion in the conventional sense but I feel like there's something out there. It might work better if the bad guy was likable, instead of just Big Brother. I really wanted the bad guy to win in Heat. That is a great movie, but the last five minutes kind of kill it for me. You kind of have to rate it on its own system. A weight is a weight, and the amount of energy it takes to move it varies linearly with both the weight and the distance. A bow is basically a spring, and thus the resistance varies with the amount of bend or stretch. It's basically comparing mass with...
