Re: Federal income tax on sold textbooks

Can you claim a business loss? Sure, you can claim whatever you want when you file your taxes. Will you get audited? Probably not, because most tax payers do not get audited in any given year. If you do get audited, will you get burned for claiming that business loss? If you do not have receipts fo...

Nope, it's just me. Now, I did see this the other day when I restarted my computer. I saw something similar once the last time my clock was jumping around: time.jpg But still, I restarted my computer a couple of times last week when the clock was still jumping around and never saw something similar...

Re: Visual Studio's installer doesn't like me

Yikes! Manually hacking apart the registry for something like this is probably not the way to go. I concur, hence the "I don't recommend this unless you know what you're doing" recommendation. On that note, I've had to do something similar at my last job (which was pitched as a developmen...

Do you sync with any Source Code/Version Control software? I've run into issues before where some type of version control software needs both the server and the local box to have the same system time (in my case I got error messages where I couldn't check in/check out files, and it was because there...

Probably something is corrupted in your registry, and therefore not letting you uninstall Express. I don't suggest doing this unless you know what you're doing, but you could try deleting all the files manually (including those in C:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\Local Settings\Application Data\...

Microsoft Security Essential, AVG, and Malware Bytes have all been good. That said, I'd recommend also getting Spybot Search & Destroy. Anti virus/malware is good, but there's other things out there as well, one of the best features of SD&D is the ability to tell it to not allow any registry...

Remember the second film, where he was living out of that trailer thing that's not connected to him in any way at all? He definitely had spare stuff there, including a Bat-suit. Also, he didn't lose his mansion in the stock thing, he explicitly states "They're letting me keep the house." ...

Really? I heard all of Bane's line's crystal clear. In fact, in some places it seemed out of place, like in the plane scene at the beginning, it sounded like his voice had just been dubbed over the rest of the audio, and in other places it seemed unnecessarily amplified. It wasn't a "I couldn'...

That particular task is probably best done exactly as you did - manually. Correct. Until 80 becomes...
