I hope this solicitation is allowed! Anyone fancy the idea of 2-4 awesome random people sleeping on your floor on Dec 31st and Jan 1st? Last minute plans mean the cheapest room left near town is like £100,000. It'd be me (25f), a girl visiting me from Hong Kong who I went to uni with in Texas (she'...

Southern Arizona?

Doesn't seem to me like there are any xkcdians (except maybe 1) in my general area.

Somebody PLEASE correct me, so I'm not all by myself (and don't correct me saying "there's not 1, there's 0" - I'd cry).

Knowing another Tucson xkcdian existed would be nice :D

The numbers refer to the hardness of the graphite in the pencil. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe No. 1 is a really soft lead that will write with very little pressure, while No. 3 is really hard, requiring some force to get even a light line. I think you're right - only, you've got it backwa...

Black grime inside pets' ears is often a sign of ear-mites. It looks like black dust mixed with ear-wax. You can get medication from the vet OR, you can do your own: Mites drown in oil. Ear-mite medication is pretty much that (oil). Use baby oil (even cooking/olive oil would suffice), put a few drop...
