I would be all for the Viking fireboat funeral (and am part Swedish so it's at least slightly justified) but it seems like a waste of a perfectly good boat.

Maybe I'll just have my friends and family get totally wasted and do the fireboat thing in effigy.

Oh me yarm, I want those!

On a related note, I have a pair of bunny rabbit flip flops. They're white and pink with a fuzzy bunny head attached to the thong and are perfect for the sort of person who needs bunny slippers but whose feet are almost always hot.

Hard cider for me, usually. Barring that, rum and coke or something way girly. I prefer not to stomach drinks that are terribly strong though I don't necessarily let that stop me.

And, public transit is for poor people and drug addicts. they can't expect me to use it. A small, one bedroom, poorly insulated apartment ran me around the average cost exce...

Paperbacks are so much more portable, so they win. I also make sure that my purse is big enough to fit a paperback, even if it has to be a small one and I have to cram it in. There are too many situations that are so much improved by having a book at hand.

Another bassoonist checking in! Holy crap, I just realized that I've been playing this thing for twelve years. Sadly I don't have a band to play in right now but I was always in some sort of ensemble when I was in school.

I've also dabbled in clarinet, pennywhistle, and oboe.

Sounds pretty amazing. I always served spinach dip in a big round crusty bread. Rip open the top and tear out the middle and spoon the dip inside, and then you arrange the ripped off bits of bread around the outside for your dipping pleasure.

And I think I would be much happier if I could just get to sleep early enough to wake up at "cinnamon". Great alt-text.
