Try the tsoika- I forget the hungarian word for it, but it's a kind of schnapps made with plums. It's like the national drink of hungary and Romania.

My own ultimate pizza project comes on apace- I have the tipo '00' italian flour that jamie oliver recommends, some home-grown tomatoes, next I need some really special meaty stuff.

I'm actually pretty shy. I'm six foot something, I can jump over barbed wire fences, etc. and yet I'm really uncomfortable meeting new people. Weird.

I think half the reason I got into sculpture was stuff like lego and playdough. I just like making stuff. All you have to do is channel childlike pleasures into what you are at least camoflauging as an adult pursuit.

My advice is to choose your least crappy pair of jeans- black for preference- and add a white shirt on top. That, and a cheery smile and a 'what, honestly, it's cool' attitude will help you through most places where formal dress is required.

Re: How did you find your last kick ass band?

Andy Kershaw used to be good for finding new music. He was on late-ish on radio 3, and he introduced me to so much good stuff: the be good tanyas, ding walls, etc. etc. But then he went and did something stupid, like following a woman around a bit too much, and now he's gone from radio, it seems for...

I had a dream in which I died- or at least I think so. I was in the car with my father, and we both got bulldozed off the road. I could see the girl driving the car- she was kind of slumped over, with long blonde hair and black eyeshadow, with a black dress. The scary thing was how she was kind of d...

Re: Origami (Will fold for food)

I used to make hundreds of little paper cranes in my foundation year. The idea was to do an installation with thousands of them spilling everywhere, some burnt, some damaged in other ways. It was going to be called '100,00 paper cranes' with the little, fragile paper thing as an allegory for a human...

I would guess not. It needs to be racked off and put in bottles for a secondary fermentation only a few weeks after you set it off. I forget how many, but two years is overkill. It's probably gone nasty in some way.

I've handled airguns quite extenisvely, as there are rabbit problems on all the properties I work on. But as for real guns, not really. I've played with an ancient .22 rifle as a teenager (shhh.... illegalz...) and had a day on shotguns with some mates, but I don't own any as I've no real need to.
