The UK equivalent is the P45 I believe, and a P60 at the end of the year if you are still being employed casually. Although I'm not entirely clear on what the 1099 MISC covers in the US, the P45 (the summary when you leave a job) and P60 (yearly summary) for each job may be the UK PAYE equivalents....
