Re: Fifa World Cup 2010

I feel sorry for Slovenia. From what I saw, over the three games they were the best team in the group, and deserved to go through.

Re: Fifa World Cup 2010

Apparantly a foul. The only foul I can see that could be given against the USA was maybe Edu pushing the Slovenian defender; but really, that's such a weak call. Slovenia certainly got off lucky there. Shame about the result, would have loved to see Slovenia go through but can't see it now. Also: BR...

Re: Fifa World Cup 2010

VALTER BIRSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I'm friends with him (on facebook) :P Had said he'd be Slovenia's best player, but that goal was just special. Goal of the tournament (so far). Can't quite believe Slovenia are going through. EDIT: Didn't see that coming. Great play from Donovan, disgraceful ...

Re: Fifa World Cup 2010

Yeah, they dominated that game. Reasonably happy, I like S. Korea, but have Argentina in a pub sweepstake. The goal they gave away was horrific, but I'm willing to bet that doesn't happen to them again. If Messi doesn't get a goal soon he'll explode out of sheer frustration.

Re: Rant Thread - The Spites of Wraith

The point I was trying to make (clumsily, admittedly, and this might not clear it up) is that I think if you took the football away, the people would still be racist.

Actually, no, that doesn't help at all.

Rant: I'm shit at arguing a point.

Re: Rant Thread - The Spites of Wraith

Quickly: I think racism is something that is more a matter of views held in certain areas of society rather than views held by football fans.

Re: Fifa World Cup 2010

I'm expecting France, after last week's woeful performance and Uraguay now setting the pace, to step it up and actually perhaps play sort of like the squad the have suggests they can play. Mexico also need to get points to contend for a place in the last 16. It will be a good match, much more to go ...
