Yeah, algebraic data types with good matching (and also tuples) solve a lot of these problems.

Why not just return (retval * map) ? Tuples are handy.

Also, one thing many languages really need: algebraic data types and pattern matching.

Ah, somehow I hadn't realized 2-sat is cheap, and that I had 2-sat on my hands. That'll do it!

Good news: I fixed the sever. Cost: I killed almost all of the chickens in meteors whirlpool thing. Everything is now stable. Dude, there's already a railway, it's just underground, and needs to be repaired. It'd make me happier if you made your walkway come out of the ground west of the castle and link up with the existing railway.
