Let's see, convicted felon, registered sex offender...so is Jeffrey Epstein up for Supreme Court Justice? Or head of the Fed? Secretary of the Treasury? Secretary of Commerce? US Attorney General?

(Some might object that felons can't be any of the above. Easily overcome: "Pardon.")

I worked for a company digging a huge open-pit salt mine. Different sections of the pit were different colors like red, pink, and different shades of off-white and ivory. Snooped around some of the big machines. I was near an edge, looking into the pit, which looked hundreds of feet deep and a mile ...

I don't think it should count if the only reason you are doing the experiment is to win an Ignoble. Kind of like the Guinness Book of Records where people were trying to fit the most stuff in their mouth or whatnot and injuring themselves so they stopped accepting submissions. Nah, come on: could a...

A lot of the changes are about shifting the pain to these people or to those people. That's a political process, and surveys are not going to answer that. The surveys just tell you that people won't like it if they lose out. But a political process is not one ended, it needs to involve everyone. I ...
