You still have borders and corners of the overall desktop shape, even if it's spread across several monitors.

Per Fitt's Law, menus (or anything to be clicked really) directly under your mouse (contextual ['right-click'] menus, gimp menus, etc) are objectively the best. Menus in the corners of the screen are next-best, and menus on the edges of the screen (like a top-of-screen menubar as in Mac OS) are next...

Interesting. I would think they could have more elegantly solved the split-vote problem by reducing the ballot to a single option, the direct mandate candidate, and then inferring what would have been the second option, the party, from the direct mandate candidate's party. This kind of mixed represe...

I'd expect R1 to come before IV, since that's where it's set chronologically and, unlike II and III, it doesn't really serve as a flashback of anything between V and VI. Kinda weird to start a series off with characters you're never going to see again, though.

DC is not technically a state, but other than that and the e.g. lack of representation it entails, it's basically a state, in that it's a reasonably-sized part of continental United States territory where people live and isn't part of another state and has a name and all of that. And Indiana could b...

Yeah I guess the whistles that I was mimicking from the parrots were probably them mimicking human whistles they had learned elsewhere. Whistling doesn't seem to be their native mode of vocalization, which is more of a creaking sound (that I can also mimic, but only while inhaling, oddly).
