I actually really like Mr. Right with Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick (44% Tomatometer). It's kind of like playing a video game with cheats. Not deep, but fun and silly and completely OP. It also reminds me of The Accountant with Ben Affleck. I really liked that too but that's at 51% so it barely mak...

Re: The Darker Side of the News

Semi-Automatic just means that the action of the bullet firing loads the next bullet. An old colt six-shooter is kind of a semi-automatic (except technically it's the force of pulling the trigger that reloads the bullet instead of the expelled gas). Non-Semi-automatic would mean you need to pull a l...

Re: Proportional Minimum Wage

Switzerland had a vote on a similar proposal a few years ago. The idea was that the minimum wage of a worker was tied to a factor of the maximum wage in a company. So the lowest paid worker would have to earn at least 1/20th of the salary of the highest paid worker. The hope was you'd depress high s...

You'd be amazed at what can be used as verbs. I was horrified to hear friends say "Let's go food" a few years ago to express "Let's go eat". I'm glad that never caught on.

Everybody would get to answer all the options. The 'if' isn't "if you chose leave", it's "if the popular vote is leave, then what is your preference?"
So you could answer 'remain', 'more time', and 'current deal' if you wanted.

Similar votes in Switzerland would usually present the options in an either/or manner, so: Should we leave or remain? If the above is leave, should we give the government one additional year to negotiate? If no additional time is granted, should we take the current deal or leave without a deal? That...
