A creative server sounds fun. I'm imagining people doing incredible things with command blocks. But what would be even more interesting, I think, is if there was some server plugin that created a commandline NBT editor. Maybe also a way for players to import schematics, thereby allowing MCEdit weird...

I've been looking over the save for a little while at a time for the last few days, i want to do something really different. i want to do a huge amount of stuff in one year through careful planning and no dwarf left idle sort of thing. This should be fun.

The wobble and turning is probably part of your design, but capslock is the fine control button. You should also not be using solids at all, sticking small liquid tanks on the sides with small engines is lighter and lasts longer. The ascent profile is probably also a big part of why it isn't working...

I used that mod, and I found a nuclear reactor model somebody made, gave it a really high weight, and made it an RTG with something like 300 power output. Worked pretty well.

Yeah, the vanilla game has no fairings. But the drag model doesn't care about the modded ones anyway. Just smack the probe right on top. With some struts.

Solar escape velocity is actually very easy with a gravity assist from Jool. I don't know about 100km/s though - that seems a somewhat arbitrary target. Oh, definitely arbitrary. I shall be a scientist. I've been looking at Computercraft. I think that with a little bit of code, it can be very, very productive. Especially with lots of turtles involved.

The end portal is at spawn because it has to be. In a newly generated world, the strongholds are all relatively close to spawn. It will dump you in the void in the middle of the End otherwise.
