Does my PC audio remote control exist?

My keyboard has buttons for play/pause, stop, previous and next track, as well as volume up, down and mute. I use some of these when I'm at my computer, but when I'm using it for background music I'm often quite far away. I'm looking for a simple remote control to manage the music coming out of my P...

Re: League of Legends

I'm enjoying Cassiopeia lately. She's not the sort of character that I'd normally go for. I like control mages such as Morgana, Janna and Lux (if Lux didn't suck), whereas Cass has only her ultimate for controlling. The rest of her abilities are pure damage and two of them are so similar that I have...

Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already

There's a limit to the quantity of things that can fit into a barrel - I think it might be 25. Prepared meals can be made into large stacks that don't fit in barrels, and your Dwarves are unable or unwilling to split them. Is it possible to designate a food stockpile for prepared foods without havin...

Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already

Got messed up. Ghosts of immigrants took the leg off my expedition leader faster than I could engrave memorials for them - I don't even recall a warning that another ghost had arrived. I think I'll have to set the population cap really low and allow the first two migration waves in. If the cap works...

Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already

How do Dwarves feel about keeping it in the family? I've sealed my seven starting Dwarves in their fortress and am ignoring the horrible mess that the outside immigrants are getting themselves into. I've two men and five women on the inside and while it's optimistic to think they might live long eno...

IBM DB2 SQL triggers

Hi. I'm using DB2 SQL for i and am having a problem with rollback for after update and after insert triggers. Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already

I wish I could turn off the vampires. They don't work well with Dwarf Therapist anyway because Dwarf Therapist shows their real names, not their assumed names. In my last fortress I had four vampires, all sealed in different rooms, and it feels a bit silly ordering them to wait in a room while the m...

Succinct. Thanks! After reading through it, that still doesn't fix my problem! Of my squad of 10 Dwarves, only 4 would follow my orders. The rest had the order against their name as the current job, but would stand in the stock room doing nothing at all, and no amount of waiting would have them catc...

God dammit, what am I doing wrong? I have people training - they're really training - and yet their progress is incredibly slow. In fact, in some cases it's going backwards! I have a squad of ten guys set to 'Train, 7 minimum' year round. They're doing this. Their schedule is set to the active/train...

I'm breaking from the current discussion here, but I have to ask about this. As I've mentioned, I main Singed as solo top and I'm really happy with my win ratio with him. I start with boots and three pots and take Fling at level 1, and the early game before my first recall can sometimes be shaky. I ...

Re: League of Legends

Last-hitting seems out of place to me because games that involve bashing monsters typically expect you to lay into them as much and as hard as you can, without regard for the finesse of finishing them off. In a typical players-v-monsters game such as, say, Diablo, the monsters drop gold where they s...

I feel as though Innistrad is much less predictable than the sets of the previous block, probably due to the top-down design, but it's a lot of fun to draft. In limited events (draft and sealed), I find it hard to avoid going white because it just feels so powerful. The werewolves look good at a gla...

That's pretty epic, Rigwarl. How does Singed fair against the champs that go top lane? He has good survivability and if they're extremely aggressive then he can fling them into the tower. It's rare that I can outright beat my opponents in an early 1-on-1 fight, so I largely ignore them and concentrate on last-hitting. Poison t...

Nasus seems popular at the moment, and I've always thought Irelia's a pretty good bruiser. Personally, I play Singed solo top. It's just the line that the game finds by pathfinding - it'll often have you take strange routes to get back to roads, and then U-turn you toward your destination. If you follow it, you'll move like an NPC. What bugged me about it is that the line it draws is static, so if you maintain clairvoyance ...

I'm not convinced. What would it mean for something - anything - to be false without being inconsistent with reality? Surely, at worst it's just unknowable in that case and doesn't fall under the domain of Qaanol's assertion.
