Re: 1110:"Click and Drag"

This is the most astonishing comic I have ever seen here. Someone mentioned it felt like a grand finale - it better not be! I can't imagine live without more xkcd.

Re: 1037(?): Umwelt

I freely admit I stopped lurking and joined the forum just to post this. I checked the comic from work and saw this one. I don't think it's been posted yet... I just wanted to say hello, and thank you. This sort of thing means so much to everyone here at DFCI. :) Hey, cool! I had considered ceasing...

Re: 1037(?): Umwelt Gone Nuts?

O my god, Randall, are you gone crazy? Without googleing the latest comic, I wouldn't have found out that you not only made different comics for different browsers / OS'es, but also different locations. And all that even though expecting about 1% of your readership to find out? or... maybe not? hmm...

Re: 1037(?): Umwelt

Did you first go to xkcd after viewing the questionable content site? Referrer counts in the cartoon selection algorithm and the one you saw first has been documented as caused by coming from questionable content. I think it was documented as coming from at least one other webcomic as well. Somethi...

The best April Fool's jokes are still being dissected on April second.

I think Randall must be reading this thread, because the Oklahoma earthquake comic just changed to a tornado. Awesome! *gazes up at the heavens* Dear Randall, if you're watching... I'm located in Washington DC, and I get a comic similar to the earthquake/blizzard one, but the last panel is changed to refer to hurricanes. Accessing from Firefox 11 on Windows 7.

Edit: Also, I get the Lincoln-nanobot one when I open the site in IE9.

I thought this was absolutely astounding in its detail, and a prime example of what makes xkcd awesome. I want this on my wall, at least the top half. Comic was hilarious, but upstaged by the site itself. Nostalgia will cause me to miss Geocities immensely...yet the memories of actually using Geocities sites make me want to rejoice. Such a dilemma. Either way, the site captured the Geocities horror perfectly. Incidentally, I too was number 36. I t...

Well, anyways. This was scary when I realized it. 9/11 was 8 years ago, although it doesn't feel like it. I remember that I was in about 1st or 2nd grade then. It was the Aladdin bit that truly terrified me. I hit the two-decade mark this year, and it's a frightening prospect knowing that there are kids around nowadays who never experienced the joys of the Disney Renaissance in the nineties.

Douglas dying probably would entail a decline in his debating skills, so that's still historically accurate.

Your mom jokes in and of themselves are not inherently funny - it's the way they're set. I can't say I've ever heard one thrown at Lincoln before, so points for that?
