Re: Project Paradise

I assumed the river shore was sandy. Pardon my mistake if I was wrong. We do seriously need to work o finding a structural metal. Can't really make anything without something for the structure. There's a bunch of stuff which we do have the materials for other than something to form the frame. I atte...

Re: What is in Your Clipboard?

Spoilered due to length, Nomic stuff. ~•✽•~ I propose that rule 18 be amended as follows: Every tag has an associated "parent" which is to be a single uniquely identifiable object, whether fictitious or concrete. For the purposes of voting and record, let this be known as Dimitriye98's...

Re: Nomic 29.0

We tried the point incentive in a prior Nomic, and it just ended up with me (being the main person updating the wiki) getting a ridiculous margin of points on everyone else. (I was approaching on five hundred, while everyone else was in the early one hundreds. See: http://purenomic.referata.com/wiki...

Re: Nomic 29.0

I vote against Henry's Fear the Night. Becomes less than zero doesn't make sense. Perhaps becomes -1? Alternatively, just "becomes dead". The way the health rules are worded, a player becomes dead when their health drops below zero, but that's not necessarily the only way for it to happen...

Re: Project Paradise

I mean, we arguably do have the components for a fusion reactor. Only thing missing is some sort of structural metal (that is, something like steel to form the structure of it, since we don't want to waste our superconductor on structural applications.) On the other hand, actually: I feed the omnist...

The omnistructor was there to start with. It takes power and materials and constructs whatever we want from them.

Fair enough, probably best to make the fusion reactor out of the safe superconductor, and just use the discovered one for energy transport. :P

I collect some clay and use the omnistructor to turn it into jugs, which I fill with water and bring to camp.

Re: Project Paradise

Umm, I don't actually know the details of building a fusion reactor. XD I mean, I guess we need some strong metal to form the structure of the reactor, and silicon for the electronics? We'd need trace amounts of dopants for the circuitry too, but I presume trace amounts of most elements are readily ...

Re: Nomic 29.0

Yeah, the only explicit route is supposed to be to the West forest. Getting to the others requires navigating the forest and is random. Hopefully we'll build new locations off the sides of the forest. I propose the following rules as a counterproposal to dimitriye98's magical forest proposal: ⋅...

Re: Project Paradise

So, the room temperature superconductor is sufficient for the confinement system of a fusion reactor. We just need to get some of the more mundane components and we can have power. Unfortunately still probably out on the horizon for now. I'd presume the Omnistructor can isolate silicon from sand for...

Yeah, following the rules as they are, rather explicitly, you vote for proposals, not rules. I vote against faubiguy's proposal indivisibility proposal. There's no need, given the above. I vote against emlightened's rule categorisation [sic] proposal. There's no need for official categories, if the ...

Re: Nomic

The rule wouldn't be renumbered when modified per say, you wouldn't modify the rule. Instead, you'd make a new rule declaring the desired change. E.g. the active players change probably would've been written: "New rules shall only require the approval of active players to be adopted." Anyw...

I like the notion of timekeeping, but "real days" is ambiguous, as we're not all in the same time zone. One could interpret the midnight epoch as being defined at the initial post of the game, but I'd prefer to make it midnight UTC. Thus: I propose that the following rules be established: ...

Terraforming a Habitable Layer of Venus

So, I think it's common knowledge by now that there's a layer of Venus's atmosphere just above the sulfuric acid clouds at about 1 ATM pressure with a temperature of slightly above 0°C. By my understanding the only barrier to habitability is the fact that that layer is composed primarily of CO 2 . N...

The link specifically refers to Pearl's feelings, and in one of the replies, McBurnett dodges the question on whether the relationship was one-sided.

Spoilers are from a caught up point of view, so handle with care. Her loyalty to Rose, even when the latter rebelled, is then easily explainable as ...
