Both of these categories are only counting the times you made the wrong decision. Shouldn't there be a third category for the times you decided to stay and it turned out to be the correct decision? What could be a fourth column for the times you left and it turned out to be the right decision can b...

Re: Awesome Teacher Quotes

Towards the end of school, when we weren't doing anything, some kids in Pre-Calc were playing card games. The teacher must have gotten annoyed and said something like this to one of his less-liked students. Teacher: Do you want to play bus driver? Student: Sure. *Teacher picks up deck* Teacher: Your...

Re: Watercooling with tap water

Fool! You computer already relies on electricity, by making it rely on water supply you add a whole new way for it to fail. All it takes is a water main break and your done!
Of course with this thread being years old, and without a response from the original poster, this may have already happened.

A couple of days ago, an MMORTS, Ironfell , shutdown for good after 3 years. Although it suffered from community problems towards the end, I feel that many parts of it were quite nice and a few core elements doomed it from the start. Also, it might use LESS energy, as it puts out plasma without taking back (depending on how it recycles plasma). Then again, would it eventually cool off?

For some latitudes, perhaps using the water to sustain a well lit tank of algae would produce more power (as bio-fuel). For some altitudes, perhaps having the water flow out and down would create enough pressure (as opposed to having it flow up). Certain places could use it to transfer heat from und...

Atmospheric pressure at sea level is over 14 pounds per square inch. That means if your body has a cross-sectional area of 1 square foot, the air is pressing down on you with about 1 ton of force. Luckily it is also pressing up on you with that same 1 ton of force, and in all directions on all expo...
