Re: 1190: "Time"

Ok, it may be just me and/or my computer, but I keep seeing a bunch of repeats of Frame 1089 in the Book of Aubron: http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/time/f8a6414c334a71481e16428691fe8465098b2bae956e44727d0482c7632a84ff.png How many Newpix are there total now? Or is he doing that on purpose?

Re: 1190: "Time"

Ok......so, it's been a great many newpix since I last posted, and I honestly couldn't tell you if this idea has been suggested, but I just had a thought for the Loopists out there. Suppose we zoom out yet again, and instead of seeing the river and whatever else is Beyond, the entire frame is inside...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I REALLY wish I didn't have to do things Outside, in light of the recent action....however the good need is that in only a few longpix I'll have uninterrupted Time time.....is it sad that I'm really excited about this?

Re: 1190: "Time"

Oh for popes sake. Give Cueball some of that coffee (Or any other stimulant). he must be the slowest builder of all things sand known to man. We need Megan back with her turbo build skills. Yep, the only time she messed up at all was because of Cueball come to think of it. Oh for popes sake. Give C...

Re: 1190: "Time"

It has! Didn't think of that. Thanks. When you're surrounded by neurotic, obsessive-compulsive, detail-oriented, sleep-deprived Timewaiters bored in between newpix, you'll get a lot of grammar-pouncing... Like maybe noticing that your sig should be "Where to, Guv?" if "guv" is a...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I believe the wait between Newpix has only been 30 minutes. http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/time/45e7c18b93defd9b0c00be1d500add6ed5e7e82d00486f73dad27933a484311f.png I got that one at 13:00 UTC, on the hour as we've been expecting. Re: 1190: "Time"

Maybe the "river" represents time itself, as well as a literal river. Cueball mentions that it has "retreated this week," which could refer to the frame rate slowing from standard newpix to longpix. Also, However, I believe "the river" must be visible from where Cueball...

Re: 1190: "Thing that keeps slipping into the future"

I look forward to a return to the faster frame rate (or slower Outsider time, if you prefer), more action per newpix, and (at the risk of coming across as a heretic) an end to the reckoning. Although, as I think of it, I feel like there is an interesting balance between the rapidly expanding thread ...

Re: 1190: "Time"

Soo.......I guess the question is, why didn't it update at the beginning of the NewPix? Just a random glitch? Or a lag or something related to how many people are trying to view it? Or is it possible that the length of a NewPix going to change?

Re: Childhood misconceptions

As a kid I was terrified of tornadoes (I don't really know why; I live in Ohio...I've never experienced a tornado in real life).
