Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

Has anyone tried the Axiom mod? https://www.axiommod.com Essentially a lot of macro has been simplified or removed. It's mostly the same game, except for health being doubled which will do things like devalue attack upgrades and mess with spell balance. A lot of the changes seem clever so I played a...

I've been playing the starcraft remaster. It's worth it alone for matchmaking and sub-minute queue times. Back in the day there was a lot of idling looking for games and no guarantee that you're playing against anyone near your skill level. Communities form around that issue. Now you can just hit a ...

It's a scribd option. The text is encrypted in a very simple fashion, and then it gets decrypted live using javascript for display. When you copy it you're copying the original encrypted text without the javascript decryption. It's a little obnoxious.

Shotgun Spoiler Expansion on SOMA The idea of the Ark and the general reason for all the disarray were very interesting. The virtual consciousness thing was good. The body swapping was okay. I don't think SOMA really followed through too well either, as the dialogue never really advances the themes so much as it's just about a clueless person who is reacting to them. It's a more traditional game with enemies and an endless quest of fixing the station, and while it's probably the weakest...

The main limit is time, time for the public to forget, time for the seeds to grow, time for complacency, time for elections. I heard him say that on Fox today and it got a laugh out of me. It doesn't get much more inane than that. I would be interested to hear if conservative media is running with it. Any thoughts on 2.0? The new map seems kind of interesting I suppose. The UI is very dated. You should be able to issue commands from the sector map. The sector map shouldn't only be in 2D. The universe map shouldn't be a grid. You shouldn't have to carefully place stations in your complex by trying to find the best vantage point and then have your view of the ghost b...

Torment Tides of Numenera quietly released. Very dialogue heavy game, probably even more so than Planescape Torment. I think I've considered this idea before, way back when I had very few RTS hours.
