Re: MisterGC's PUZZLES

cjr22 As a matter of interest may I see both of your solutions? Sure, my first one is 14,11,23,22,18,19,26,9,13,5,15,12,6 17,24,10,8,4,16,20,21,25,2,3,1,7 And the second 14,11,23,22,26,15,18,13,9,5,19,12,6 17,24,10,8,4,16,20,21,25,2,3,1,7 Based on the "extra" I assume the first is the one...

Re: MisterGC's PUZZLES

I don't think it has enough constraints; I got two solutions where the numbers in E, H and K could be swapped for those in G, I and F without anything being inconsistent.

Unless I missed something.

I find the first one to be slightly ambiguous

Spoiler:
It's unlclear if the cloud that fulfils the 2 column clue continues to the left or the right of that column

I enjoyed the puzzle though.

Re: Test-solve my puzzles, please

Did anyone solve the regular crypto yajilin? Yeah, I did. I liked it - just the right level for me. I understood what you meant about the crypto being tacked-on rather than integral to the puzzle, but it didn't stop me enjoying it. With the regional one, I've worked out what A, B, C and D stand for...

Stuck here: http://i.imgur.com/39TmMlh.png Shaded yellow cells contain the path, black cells don't. How did you get The black block below the F? I didn't get that until much later. The next step for me from here was to notice that The letters A-F each stand for a unique number 0-5, and there is...

Levels 22-24 were incredibly easy. I am on 25 and see the difference between the two boards but am stumped on how to translate that into the URL. I'll give it a couple days before I ask for a hint. Frustrated though as I've tried everything I can think of. A night's sleep might help... I'm stuck he...

Re: Rubik's Cube false solution

I'm pretty sure it's 12. The central faces are correct by definition, and all the corners are correct as the sides you can see fix the corners you can partially see in the right place and right orientation, and you can rotate the completely hidden corner on its own. The sides you can partia...

Re: A [Joint] Effort

Other puzzle trails use the approach of putting the answer in the URL. E.g. if the puzzle is here: www.mycleverpuzzletrail.co.uk/level1/ then I enter the answer "allyourbase" by directing my browser to www.mycleverpuzzletrail.co.uk/level1/allyourbase.html Which is effectively what the MD5 ...

Re: Tricky Box Problem

Think about the length of the longest diagonal. This is length \sqrt{( a^{2} + b^{2} + c^{2} )} in the first box and \sqrt{( x^{2} + y^{2} + z^{2} )} in the second. To fit, the first value must be less than the second. If a+b+c is constant, the diagonal length is minimised when a \g...

No, I'm still stuck with it. Here are my thoughts on it: ⋅ The large coloured blocks looked like they may be a substitution cipher, but there's too many different ones ⋅ The colours are a bit odd - plenty of green, some blue, not much red, although it does seem to be redder on th...

Clue for #5 It refers to an internet meme which you either know or you don't. There's a comic about it, I think it's somewhere around 350-400. #18 was quite clever, I thought. All the information you need to solve it is in the level18.txt file and the introduction (level01.txt). ...
