The electric grinder at home is dying. It's my birthday coming up so I'm looking for recommendations for an electric grinder for around $100, but could go up to $200 (US, AUD, whatever you like).

I mostly do a pourover, sometimes a plunger.

This will fix anything That stuff is the bomb. Particularly the chili garlic flavor. I ran myself out of my last bottle and need to get a replacement... I made slowcooker chili con carne yesterday but it was extremely lackluster for reasons I can't fully fathom, I didn't change anything about the way I always make it. Cynar Liqueur This is something I've never had before. It's made from artichokes. My friend kept pointing it out and saying how good it was. Went shopping recently when the awesome liquor vendor had a 30% off sale. Their regular prices are about 15-20% over the odds, so it's not as good as it could be, but still worth it. Liquor in Australia is so ridiculously overpriced that I have to wait for a sale before I can bring myself to buy thi...

Chakalaka was traditionally a "black South African" dish but as we've (slowly, so very imperfectly) become a more integrated society, there's been a greater exchange of cultural elements like food. So your mom probably wouldn't have grown up with it. Good theory, but I asked her about it ...

I really like beans so maybe I'd prefer that? I dunno. I really need some kind of expert to make some for me. My mother is Afrikaans but I never had it growing up, to my recollection.

If I did ever cook it, I know what I'd have going around my head.
